Random Life 03:22
So let's begin as we always do Switch on the power and adjust the fine tune Hum of the engine soon fills up the room Drift off with your thoughts until noon Here comes the weekend But so soon it is the week again Well, this just doesn't seem right I guess it's just Random Life So let's begin as we've done once more A ring of keys for an open door Why does it feel like we've been here before? When each time it's different I'm sure Here comes the weekend But so soon it is the week again Well, this just doesn't seem right I guess it's just Random Life We're dreaming our days away Heads up in the clouds all day As we wait for the sun to rise For the new sun to rise Here comes the weekend I guess it's just Random Life

Experiment 7 04:04
So here's a little something for you to think about Behind your tortured brow If you can remember how You stumbled along then got lost But now guess who's paying the cost? How can so many people fuck up this much? There's so many people losing touch here Here they come

These words are revolving around us We've not much to say Conversely, these voices fill up our heads Companions all day But when evening comes We walk on and on... It's too far to drive We're heading for the light The Sun will rise on St. Pete Beach tonight Are these birds trying to tell us something? Their language so strange We listen so hard just to understand But we throw up our hands It's too hard to try So we let them fly... The Sun will rise on St. Pete Beach tonight tonight Then suddenly winds change direction Our sails take shape And calmly we're blowing right back to the bay again The Sun will rise on St. Pete Beach tonight The Sunlight glows through green flash seas, alright The Sun will rise on St. Pete Beach tonight And every night, your wish, could come true

The greenest of trees And the bluest of water Could be bulk erased And we haven't another one Waiting in the wings What's wrong with us? That we can't face our problem Can't push it off for one more day The color of spring And the harvest of autumn Could be bulk erased, Oh And there isn't another one Waiting in the wings What's wrong with us? That we can't see our problems Can't push it off for one more day I don't know Which direction we're falling Can't push it off for one more day...

SURPRISE!!!

Hey There! Long time no see, hear, etc...

It's Peter Marchese , Remember me? No? I didn't think so. Maybe I could give you a little refresher? Or maybe an introduction? Some of you might remember me from a couple of long running Seattle beat combos including Tokyoidaho (tokyoidaho.bandcamp.com) and Voyager One (voyagerone.bandcamp.com). Or, for those of you with access to a wayback machine , maybe even from playing guitar in Las Vegas chancers Secret Sanity, and some of you might not recall any of this. It matters not!

SOME of you may ALSO remember that I left Seattle and playing in these aforementioned beat combos back in 2017 for the considerably sunnier climes of St. Petersburg, Florida, but that's really only the partial truth. I guess I have some explaining to do then, don't I?

Ok, while it IS true that my small family and I DID set up shop in lovely St. Pete. , shortly afterward I was whisked directly to Cape Canaveral, and, as part of an obscure, underfunded and experimental NASA program, launched aboard a class XVI rocket on a deep space trajectory straight to the unknown.

The purpose of this mission is to study the effects of deep space travel on the psyche of the human musician, and to see what types of music might be produced in this strange new environment. So, to this end I have been furnished with a small array of vintage/modern instruments (See Fig.4) and given simple instructions to proceed as normal with music creation, and back on Earth NASA would monitor vital signs and any significant psychological changes I might experience via a wearable called the "Energy Visor" (See Fig.5) Stupid name, right? I have to wear it when I make music, and that's what provides all of the valuable(?) data to the Lab coats back on Earth. (See Fig.1)

I am also required to submit any and all music that I might create out here to the central computer for analysis and cataloging. And, after that is complete (10-12 weeks), I am free to upload it to the public.
.
The first of these dispatches was uploaded today.

"But how did YOU get this gig anyway?" I can hear you saying. "You're hardly an ASTRONAUT!" " You get sick on a BOAT!" Hehe, that's true, funnily enough I wasn't NASA's first choice for this mission, (nor the 3,000th), but after going through the entire NASA Rolodex there were still no takers, and ESPECIALLY SO when they found out there would be LITTLE TO NO PUBLICITY! "So, how did they finally settle on YOU then?" I can hear you asking. Well, it wasn't really scientific at all. One day they were goofing around at HQ and Googled "Voyager One" and I was the first music related person to pop-up! So random!

"But what about your FAMILY?" I can sense you wondering, "You didn't just LEAVE THEM BEHIND FOR THIS IDIOTIC ENDEAVOR DID YOU?!!!" Take it easy! Take it easy! Did I not mention the Transporter? I didn't? Well, there is one. Just picture the one off of the 60's Star Trek, only with WAY MORE TREMELO! Using it to travel back and forth is like floating on a swiftly moving current the viscosity of raspberry jelly (or maybe seedless preserves) as millions of dayglo stars rush past your face, all whilst listening to some kind of colossal Spacemen 3 meets Ravi Shankar type drone for precisely 47 and a three-quarter minutes, and then BAM!!!!! There you are back on your own couch at home ABSOLUTELY COVERED IN GLITTER!

"Alright, so this is getting REALLY long-winded and EXTREMELY ridiculous." I can hear you saying to yourselves, "Where are we even GOING with all of this?" Well, I guess this backstory is my convoluted and roundabout way of announcing my new musical project called.......

Listen, It's either all THIS nonsense, OR it's...

"Mildly eccentric Middle-aged Dad makes Minimalist Synthwave and other Shoegazy Art-Pop experiments for himself and a handful of interested individuals."

I KNOW which story I prefer!

In either case, Welcome to the DEEP SPACE KITCHENETTE!

STIR IT UP!
